Title card[]

  • The post-Jünger master (see "General" below) has the music starting long before the title card fades in, while the original Jünger master and the Power Station master start at the fade in. In addition, the original Jünger master has the entire title card, text and all, fade in at once.
  • The Art Media DVD starts after the fade in.
  • The East West DVD also starts after the fade in, but also adds a fake fade in with a play button (presumably due to it being played from a VCR or some other video cassette player) being visible for a couple of seconds.
  • The Italian Bimbo Cartoons DVD has a custom-made title card.

General[]

  • At some point after the original Jünger release, an alternate cut of the German dub has some scenes re-animated, have certain elements in different positions, or have been shortened slightly. Except for the Spanish dub, all known foreign dubs are based on this version.
  • While not confirmed due to a YouTube rip being the only known copy of it on the Internet, the Spanish DVD removes more scenes than on most German copies.
  • Some copies of the East West DVD (without the Dick Whittington's Cat bonus cartoon) end at the 43:43 mark.
  • A third German master was produced for the Power Station DVD that uses footage from the previous two masters, as well as some scenes being shortened further. No foreign dubs are known to be based on this version.
  • The Italian Bimbo Cartoons DVD removes most footage from some of the musical numbers (right down to having the title card fade into the last shot of the opening song), and completely removes others. In addition, a line of dialogue from Soraya has the vertical roll offset, and digital artifacts appear at the same time, losing some of the audio.

End credits[]

  • The post-Jünger master replaces the instrumental of "Gläubige lasst euch nieder" with "Ich schau auf einen Suppentopf", vocals and all.
  • The Art Media and East West Entertainment DVDs cut off a chunk of the credits. The credits stop a little later on the latter DVD, ending with a black screen with what appears to be the video tracking (a black-and-white line in a dashed pattern) shifting (again, likely due to it being played from a video cassette player).
  • The Power Station master has the ending credits shortened to just the copyright card.
  • The Bimbo Cartoons DVD replaces the credits (and the reprise of the opening song with it) with a custom-made end card that says "FINE".
