Der Glöckner von Notre Dame is a Dingo Pictures movie that was released in 1996. It is notable for being one of their longest movies.
Summary[]
One day a foundling was brought to Notre Dame, the most beautiful cathedral of Paris - but the baby was so ugly that no citizen of Paris wanted it and so Quasimodo grew up under the protection of the Abbott of Notre Dame. He never left the church, because people did not like him and he did not like people, until he saw the pretty gypsy Esmeralda dancing one day. Quasimodo decided to be there for her always. Esmeralda needed his protection pretty soon because the court of Paris accused her of beeing a witch. She was sentenced to death. Quasimodo succeeded in saving Esmeralda and her little goat. But the pursuers didn't give up...

Trivia[]
- This movie introduces newer versions of many of the tracks which originated in Griechische Sagen: Perseus and Die Nibelungen Sage: Siegfried, which are now lower-pitched and slowed down slightly.
- Frollo's German scream when he falls to his death was reused in two of Dingo's movies in 1997: Balto and Hercules.
- This is the first film to use the Dingo Pictures name in the credits. The Dingo Productions name would be used very briefly for their next film, Janis das Schweinchen Baby.
- Whether Janis das Schweinchen Baby was completed or even released before this film is unknown, as a PDF file that was on the company's website that lists most of their films seems to debunk this.
Goofs[]
- At least in the English dub, a buzzing sound (likely from cell phone interference) can be heard at one point when Colonel Pimpers is talking.
