Die Bremer Stadtmusikanten is a Dingo Pictures movie that was released in 1997. It is noticable for being one of two movies to include a live-action narrator, the other being Das Schwert von Camelot.
Summary[]
"Is this all there is to life?" thought the donkey, who was working as a tourist attraction for in the "Animal-Adventure-Park", after his boss kicked him out. And because people again and again told him that his voice sounded lovely, he decided to make a career as a musician and go to Bremen. On his way, he met a dog, whose fate was to spend the rest of his life in the animal asylum, because his old master had died. The dog was a great drummer, so the donkey asked him to come along with him. On their way they met a cock and a cat, who were also living in a desperate situation. Since they too were good musicians, it was only logical that they completed the band. And what nobody ever believed came true. After many adventures, they were finally on stage. Where? In Bremen of course.

Trivia[]
- Some copies of the American DVD release from East West Entertainment (with bonus cartoons) contain a different adaptation of the story, being a live-action version from 1959.
- In a similar case, the Legocart releases of this adaptation and another adaptation of the story made by Fuji Eight use the wrong cover and disc arts. This also applies to their releases of Der gestiefelte Kater and presumably Aladin.
Goofs[]
- In the English dub:
- The German dub is heard for an entire scene after the donkey and dog first perform together.
- At one point, the narrator struggles not to laugh when saying "poo". The kid can also be heard laughing as well.
- In the French version:
- We can hear a German echo nottament when Georg Feils does "HiHan! HiHan machen!"
- When the donkey finishes his verse of the song, there is no dialogue until after the music stops.
